The Stallions won their 8th straight CCL Championship and won nine individual titles at the CCL Meet
Tim Wilson was recognized as the most outstanding wrestler at the CCL Tournament and was awarded the Casey Fredericks Trophy
DeSales won the 1971 Top 8 Mat Meet, finishing ahead of Upper Arlington 118-84
The Stallions finished as runner-up in the Catholic Invitational
The 1970-71 team competed in eight tournaments and averaged 108 points
DeSales set a school record for most individual match wins in a single season with 300 (previous record: 194)
The Stallions also set a single season record with 90 total pins
DeSales returned 8 lettermen from the 1969-1970 team, which finished 10th in the state (there were no divisions in 1970)
