Female Athlete of the Week - Faith Corn
The seventh edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (10/2 -10/7, presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is freshman golfer Faith Corn.
Faith finished tied for 14th at the Division-I Sectional last week by leading the Stallions with an 88 to cap-off a great beginning to her career at DeSales

Male Athlete of the Week - Chase Agin
The 7th edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (10/2-10/7), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is senior goalie Chase Agin.
Chase helped lead the Stallions to two shutouts last week, including a 2-0 victory over St. Charles to win the 2017 Central Catholic League Championship.

The Boys Soccer Team wins the 2017 CCL Championship
The Boys Soccer team beat St. Charles on Tuesday (10/4) 2-0 to clinch the outright Central Catholic League Championship. Hector Gomez scored each goal as the Stallions improved to 12-0-1 and captured the program's 19th league title. The Stallions, ranked number one in Division-II, finished league play with a 4-0 record and outscored their opponents 39-0.
Male Athlete of the Week - Andrew Richards
The 6th edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (9/25-9/30), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is senior golfer Andrew Richards!
Andrew shot a team-low 83 at the Division-II Sectional Tournament to help the Stallions advance to the 2017 District Tournament!

Female Athlete of the Week - Emma Brown
The sixth edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (9/25-9/30), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is sophomore volleyball player Emma Brown.
Emma helped lead the Stallions to two key CCL victories last week against Bishop Hartley and Bishop Watterson as the Stallions won the 2017 league championship with a perfect 8-0 record. The Stallions, ranked 8th in Division-I, also defeated Pickerington Central on Saturday to improve to 15-2 overall.

Male Athlete of the Week - Cristian Gomez
The fifth edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (9/18-9/23), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is junior midfielder Cristian Gomez!
Gomez was outstanding offensively and defensively in two wins against top ranked teams in the state of Kentucky last weekend, including Covington Catholic, a 2016 State Runner-up.

Female Athlete of the Week - Izzy Arbona
The fifth edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (9/18-9/23), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is junior tennis player Izzy Arbona
Izzy recorded a 7-6, 7-5 win at second singles to help the Stallions earn a 3-2 victory against Whestone. It was the fourth straight win for Arbona and the team's fifth overall.

The Girls Volleyball Team captures the 2017 CCL Championship
The Girls Volleyball Team defeated Bishop Hartley 3-1 last evening at home to clinch the 2017 outright Central Catholic League Championship. With the win, the Stallions improved to 14-2 overall and remained perfect in CCL play with a 7-0 record. It's the program's 17th CCL title and first under first-year Head Coach Brendan Pence. DeSales, ranked 8th in the OHSVCA State Coaches Poll continue league play on Thursday at Bishop Watterson.
Female Athlete of the Week - Madi Rennie
The fourth edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (9/11-9/16), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is junior Madi Rennie!
Madi scored three goals and assisted another in two games last week for the Girls Soccer team.

Male Athlete of the Week - Ben Towler
The 4th edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (9/11-9/16), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is sophomore runner Ben Towler!
Ben finished first in the Division-I Mens Open 5K on Saturday (9/16) at the Central Ohio CC Invitational at Three Creeks Park: Sycamore Fields with a time of 17:36.38.

Male Athlete of the Week - Hector Gomez
The third edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (9/4-9/9), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is senior athlete Hector Gomez!
Gomez helped lead the Stallion Boys Soccer team to a 2-0 win against CCL rival Bishop Watterson last Tuesday (9/6), scoring the second goal against the Eagles. On Friday night, as a placekicker for the Football team, Gomez was a perfect 4-4 on extra point attempts.

Female Athlete of the Week - Camryn Bury
The third edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (9/4-9/9), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is senior Camryn Bury!
Camryn took 1st place out of 323 runners in the Division I Open race on Saturday at the McGowan Invitational hosted by Watkins Memorial High School. Bury has the 4th all-time fastest 5k time for DeSales at 18:59.

Male Athlete of the Week - Joey Velazquez
The second edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (8/28-9-1), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is junior football player Joey Velazquez!
A two-way player for the Stallions, Velazquez rushed for 50 yards and scored two touchdowns, recorded eight tackles - one for a loss, and intercepted a pass in a 34-14 win on Friday against Lancaster.

Female Athlete of the Week - Cate Leithauser
The second edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (8/28-9/1), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is sophomore tennis player Cate Leithauser!
Cate went 2-1 for the week at third singles for the Stallions and helped lead DeSales to their first CCL victory of the season in a 5-0 win against Bishop Ready. For the season, the sophomore from St. Paul leads the team with five overall victories.

Female Athlete of the Week - Bella D'Amico
The first edition of the St. Francis DeSales Female Athlete of the Week (8/21-8/26, presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is sophomore volleyball player Bella D'Amico!
Bella led the Stallions Girls Volleyball team last week in a 5 set loss to Liberty and a 3 set win against Jonathon Alder. She posted 100 assists (61 v liberty, 39 v Alder) and 19 digs (14 v Liberty, 5 v Alder) for the week.

Male Athlete of the Week - Rob Landis
The first edition of the St. Francis DeSales Male Athlete of the Week (8/21-8/26), presented by Farmers Insurance Group, is senior golfer Rob Landis!
The senior captain led the Stallions to a win this past Thursday with a low score of 40. Rob finished as the medalist for the round, shooting the lowest score between both teams.

Baseball players will receive group and individual instruction on all skill aspects of the game from St. Francis DeSales coaching staff and current players. No prior baseball training needed.

The Stallion basketball camp is a great opportunity to increase your overall basketball skill level and knowledge of the game. Not only will the DeSales coaching staff help you individually as a player on both ends of the court, but they will teach you to execute many of the same drills our varsity players use in order to master the key fundamentals of basketball. In addition, campers will also compete in 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 tournaments!

The Stallion basketball camp is a great opportunity to meet and learn from the current coaches and players, as well as increase your overall basketball skill level and knowledge of the game. Not only will our coaching staff help improve your game individually, we will also introduce you to many of the concepts we teach our very own varsity team. Campers will also compete in a multitude of competitions including Dribble Knockout, Speed Lay-Up, Free Throw, Hot Shot, 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 tournaments!
CHEERLEADING

Come cheer with the Stallions! All campers will learn motions, jumps, chants and a dance during this 4-day session led by the current DeSales Cheerleaders. On the last day of camp, the girls will showcase their new skills in a team performance for family and friends. We also invite the campers to cheer with the Varsity Football cheerleaders at a home game during the regular season! *All campers are required to wear tennis shoes and encouraged to bring a water bottle.
ENDURANCE & CROSS COUNTRY

Our Endurance (Distance and Cross Country) camp focuses on building the complete runner. That focus includes training runs, work on dynamic drills, understanding the different types of workouts, and plenty more. You will spend time training with our Track & Field Distance and Cross Country runners.

Come spend a week with the coaching staff and players of St. Francis DeSales. Campers will be instructed on basic fundamentals of offense, defense, and special teams by position. "Heads up tackling" and other safety techniques will be emphasized. They will also participate in games, competitions, as well as a Stallion Football league. Attendees will receive a highlight video of the 2016 Football Season, a t-shirt, and a Rib Dinner! Come join the finest football camp experience in Central Ohio.

With a focus on the youth game, the boys lacrosse camp will focus on the fundamentals to build their game. With new drills, games, and skills, the boys will learn how to have fun while building skill.

Organized drills for the beginner to the more advanced players. Emphasis of camp will be teaching rules of the game while having fun playing lacrosse and building confidence. Campers are required to bring a lacrosse stick, goggles, and mouth piece.

Technical and individual skills instruction in a fun atmosphere. Small sided games where technical skills meet game like conditions. Having fun while learning. Bring ball and water.

Campers will build their soccer skills and knowledge during the week with a different soccer focus each day. Camp directors will bring lots of energy, fun and knowledge to camp each day to help your camper leave a better soccer player. *Shin guards are required.

The Stallion Softball Program is offering two camp sessions this summer. The morning session will focus on individual skill development for players of all ages. Players will be split into grade and skill appropriate groups. Instruction will focus on infield and outfield positional play, as well as proper hitting and bunting technique. The afternoon session is an advanced session for middle school players preparing for competitive high school play. Instruction will focus on defensive and offensive strategy. Players in grades 6-9 that are interested in playing high school softball are encouraged to attend both sessions for a full day of training and fun!
SPEED & AGILITY

Our Speed camp focuses on the core skills in many sports; acceleration and running fast. Our athletes go back to track, football, soccer, basketball, baseball teams, and more with greater confidence, capability, and speed. Camp focused on teaching the fundamentals of volleyball passing, setting, serving, and attacking. All experience levels can benefit from the instruction and technique drills. Two days of indoor volleyball and one day of grass volleyball including team play and completion.

Grades 1-6 Camp Teaches fundamentals of wrestling, including proper stretching, tumbling, stance, shots, and the top/bottom position. Two games per session! Fun will be had by all who attend! Please bring wrestling shoes (or socks) and a water bottle.
Grades 7-12 Camp teaches advanced technique and strategy. Planning for nutrition, lifting programs, and sport psychology will be presented. Competitive games are fun for everyone who attend! Wrestling shoes and a water bottle are required.

Congratulations to the 2017-18 St. Francis DeSales Cheerleading Squads! Coach Alexa & Coach Jenna could not be more proud of the effort showcased during clinics and tryouts this week. We are so excited to kick off a new season with an outstanding group of girls! GO STALLIONS!
We look forward to meeting all of the new & returning members on Monday, April 24th for the MANDATORY Parent/Cheerleader Meeting at 7:00pm in the cafeteria. New Members - please come at 6:30 for a uniform fitting.

The Girls Lacrosse Team captures its 4th straight CCL championship
The DeSales Girls Lacrosse team won its 4th straight CCL title after 14-0 win at Bishop Hartley on Tuesday (4/18/17). Grace Lensmire led the Stallions with 4 goals, while Jennie Finotti and Abbey Dop each had 3 goals as DeSales improved to 8-0.
